Wasim Khan: PCB chief executive resigns, will there be further changes?
It is not a new thing in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that changing one face changes many faces.

But Wasim Khan's resignation does not seem unexpected given the current situation, even though he still had five months left in his term.
The chief executive has more powers in the constitution of the Pakistan Cricket Board, but the way Rameez Raja has appeared in the media since he became chairman, it is not difficult to guess from his conduct and his interviews, statements, and Twitter that maybe They want to have full control.
Wasim Khan became the managing director of the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2019. His appointment was objected to by some members of the then Board of Governors, to which then-Chairman Ehsan Mani said the appointment was made in accordance with the constitution.
Wasim Khan was later made the chief executive, but differences arose with his chairman, Ehsan Mani.
Wasim Khan represented Warwickshire, Sussex and Derbyshire in British county cricket as a left-handed batsman and also scored five centuries and seventeen half-centuries.
He was also the chief executive of Leicestershire County. Because he came from England and was part of the county culture there, during those two and a half years he spoke loudly about his personal friendships and relationships with cricket board officials in England and other countries.
The biggest setback for Wasim Khan was the cancellation of the tour of New Zealand and England cricket teams to Pakistan as he always said that these teams were coming to Pakistan because of his personal ties with these cricket boards.
After Wasim Khan's resignation, it remains to be seen whether Rameez Raja will make a new appointment to the post of Chief Executive Officer or whether he will use all his powers to appoint a Director of Cricket.

Former Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Aqib Javed thinks that changes in the management structure of the Pakistan Cricket Board happen in two ways.
"One is when the government changes and the other is when the team is not performing well and the results are not good, then there is pressure on the pattern to change the board. Imran Khan is the pattern at the moment and of course, there is pressure on him that if the performance of the team is going down then he should change the people.
T20 World Cup
After the resignation of Chief Executive Wasim Khan, the question has arisen as to what more resignations will come in the process of changes in the Pakistan Cricket Board?
The biggest debate right now is about possible changes to the 15-member squad announced for the T20 World Cup.
Some of the players in the squad have not been able to perform well in the ongoing National T20 Cup and there have been many objections to their selection.
The Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup was announced by chief selector Muhammad Waseem on September 6, when he defended two or three players whose selection was being marveled at.
It is noteworthy that just three days later, Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem in an interview to a private TV channel said that the announced team could be changed as per ICC rules and regulations by October 10. The squad can be changed.
The question arises that when the chief selector Muhammad Waseem announced the team, he praised the ability and capability of each player, but then all of a sudden what happened is that he is talking about changing these players.
It is not difficult to guess that this is due to the disappointing performance of some players in the National T20 Cup due to which the pressure on the chief selector and the board to change the team is increasing.

At the time of selection, it is especially important to see which players have consistently performed in which positions in the last two to three years. Then comes the National T20 Cup, which is not as standard as the PSL, but still you choose the best squad with both events in mind.
Aqib Javed says that the T20 World Cup is on its head but the people of the board are still in a dilemma as to who will be our 15 players.
In this situation, the question arises as to why the players who should have been in the T20 World Cup squad were not fed in the West Indies and England. How is this planning? I am afraid that this World Cup will also be a test of experience.
