PSL Season 6 Islamabad vs Lahore: Lahore Qalandars hit the target on the last ball, exchange interesting memes on social media

In the first match of the remaining matches of PSL 2021, Lahore Qalandars faced Islamabad United in which Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United by five wickets.

Qalandars won the toss and elected to bowl first.

So far, the winning trend in Pakistan Super League 2021 has been in favor of the first bowling team. Batting first, Islamabad United scored 143 runs for the loss of nine wickets while Lahore Qalandars won the match by scoring 144 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Today was nothing special for the batsmen and Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar scored the highest score of all the batsmen of both teams. He scored 40 off 30 balls.

Hassan Ali was the top wicket-taker for Islamabad United with two wickets while James Faulkner topped the Lahore Qalandars with three wickets. Rashid Khan of Lahore Qalandars was named Player of the Match. He was the last batsman to score 15 off just five balls while taking one wicket for just nine runs in four overs while bowling.

The sixth season of the Pakistan Super League started in Karachi on February 20 but had to be postponed to March 4 when the code tests of some players of the participating teams came back positive. By then, 14 matches of the league had been played. The remaining 20 matches are being played from June 9. The final match of PSL will be played on June 24. Out of 11 matches between the two teams so far, Islamabad has won eight while Lahore has won three.

Many interesting comments and memes were posted by Lahore Qalandars on winning the last ball and losing to Islamabad United. One user, Arqam, distorted one sentence from a popular interview with former President Asif Ali Zardari and wrote about Qalandars: We don't have a team that can win easily.
