What is a raw area?

In the districts through which the Indus River flows, the areas that are flooded during the flood season but remain dry for the rest of the period are called Kacha areas.

Dense forests, bushes, and wetlands make it easier for criminals to hide in these areas, while law enforcement finds it difficult to take action.

The districts of Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab, while the districts of Jacobabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur, and Sukkur in Sindh have the majority of criminals working in the form of gangs.
