Om Prakash Mishra: Threats to New Zealand cricket team and Fawad Chaudhry's accusation on 'Indian YouTuber', humorous comments on social media

Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had yesterday claimed that the device and e-mail ID used to send a threatening message to the New Zealand cricket team was being operated from India and was followed by Mumbai's Om Prakash Mishra. 'Were involved.

But social media users in India do not seem to take this claim seriously at all. Instead, they are making funny memes on this name and picture.

This is because Om Prakash Mishra is popular in India as a YouTuber and reality show contestant. Thanks to some of his songs, he has been given the title of 'Indian Tahir Shah' by the common people.

What did Fawad Chaudhry say?

Fawad Chaudhry, while addressing a press conference on Wednesday, claimed that the New Zealand team had received threatening messages from Indian accounts. He said that most of the IDs and e-mails were created under Hindi names like "movies, dramas and music names".

He said that the mobile device from which these accounts were operated was launched in India in August 2019 and the mobile SIM was registered on September 25, 2019. And its sole user has also been evaluated.

According to him, the device used to send the threatening message to New Zealand was being operated from India and behind it was "Om Prakash Mishra, who hails from Maharashtra".

Fawad Chaudhry had said during his press conference that the wife of New Zealand player Martin Guptill had received an e-mail threatening that "her husband will be killed in Pakistan".

He added: "When we investigated it, we found that the email was not linked to any social media network. The e-mail account was created on August 21 at 1:05 p.m., and an email was sent to Martin Guptill's wife around 11 p.m. Only one email has been sent from this account so far.

Fawad Chaudhry said that a review of the information on social media has revealed that the user of this email ID may be Om Prakash Mishra from Mumbai.

Who is Om Prakash Mishra and how has he reacted?

Showing the name and picture of Om Prakash Mishra, Pakistani ministers at a press conference accused him of being involved in threats against the New Zealand cricket team.

But instead of expressing concern over the name and image, social media users in India are making humorous memes in response.

The photo of Om Prakash Mishra that Fawad Chaudhry showed in the press conference is known in India as a YouTuber and reality show star.

In 2016, he became famous in India for one of his songs. His song "Aunty's Bell" went viral a few years ago, the initial words of which are "Bol Na Aunty Aayun Kya, Ghanti Mein Bajaun Kya".

The song has received 6.8 million views so far and has been heard and watched more than any of his other songs.

He has also appeared in reality shows like Indian Idol and MTVS of Space.

Om Prakash calls himself 'Rap King' on YouTube, while his songs have been compared to Dhanchak Pooja and Pakistani singer Tahir Shah. Some users even call him 'Indian Tahir Shah'.

In response to these allegations, Om Prakash Mishra seems quite happy that his name has been trending on Twitter since yesterday.

Several of his videos have been posted on his Instagram account. In one video, he says, "One name shook the whole of Pakistan." In another video, he said, "I'm proud. Your brother is trending on Twitter.

However, he did not respond to allegations leveled against him by the Pakistani government.

"Don't talk to Pakistan, send me an email"

Documents released by Pakistan show that the device used for the threats was owned by Om Prakash Mishra, after which the name has become a topic of discussion.

Following these claims of the Pakistani minister, 'Om Prakash Mishra' is trending on Twitter and Facebook, and his name has been searched repeatedly since yesterday.

It is to be noted that there has been a lot of grief and anger in Pakistan since the cancellation of the tour of the New Zealand and England cricket teams.

The head of New Zealand cricket has said that he has informed the Pakistan Cricket Board about the basic nature of the threat, but "specific details could not be disclosed, nor will be disclosed."

The England and Wales Cricket Board's decision not to send its men's and women's teams to Pakistan for the T20 and ODI matches has to do with the 'bio-secure bubble' and the mental health of the players.
